  • The Wyoming Department of Transportation on Wednesday unveiled two new specialty license plates – one featuring search and rescue and the other honoring rodeo heritage – available starting Jan. 1, 2026, with auctions planned early next year to support their causes.  Jack FM
  • The Wyoming Game and Fish Department uses nearly 250,000 annual harvest surveys to estimate big game takes statewide—despite only 20 to 40 percent of hunters responding—and updated its longstanding method with online tools and UW support in 2023 to guide wildlife management.  104.7 KISS FM
  • Flags statewide will remain at half-staff until dusk on January 5 by order of Governor Mark Gordon to honor Judy Catchpole, the former superintendent who passed on December 4, 2025 + funeral details will be shared by her family.  K2 Radio
  • The Wyoming Game and Fish Department sends nearly 250,000 surveys each year to estimate big game harvests even though only 20–40 percent of hunters reply. Officials use decades of survey science (including a UW partnership) to guide wildlife management and set future hunting seasons.  Jack FM
  • Wyoming D-O-T introduced new Search and Rescue and Rodeo license plates available Jan. 1, with a limited run set for auction early this year — extra fees and optional donations will support rescue operations and rodeo programs.  The Cowboy
