- ➤ United Way of Natrona County announced the 2026 online grant application for eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits in Campbell and Converse counties. Applications opened Jan 12 and will remain available until Jan 30 unless early closure occurs due to high demand. Oil City News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Casper City Council will extend the fundraising deadline for the Casper Ice Arena expansion until October. The move retains the city’s $3.2 million investment and gives the Casper Amateur Hockey Club and private donors extra time to raise $11 million needed (a tentative decision from a recent work session). - ➤ Casper city officials are considering an amendment to allow residents to keep domesticated birds (such as quail) for egg and meat production after a recent court case led to citations for poultry and pet issues. The change will be open for public comment at an upcoming hearing. Oil City News
- ➤ Former superintendent Jillian Balow (a Gillette native) announced her run for Wyoming’s lone House seat Tuesday. She will face Casper native Reid Rasner and Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray in a race following Harriet Hageman's Senate bid. Oil City News
