EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming announced that funds raised at its Reverse Raffle and Auction on Saturday, Feb. 7 will finance a new greenhouse at its main campus to teach youth gardening and healthy eating with help from Five Trails Rotary and Grow Casper.  Oil City News

  • Starting Feb. 1, travelers 18 and up without an acceptable ID will pay a $45 fee at Casper/Natrona County International Airport to use TSA ConfirmID—this fee covers a 10-day travel window but does not ensure clearance, so those with REAL ID or approved IDs are exempt.  Oil City News
  • The Casper Downtown Development Authority voted on Thursday to grant $2,000 to the Downtown Casper Business Association for holiday marketing downtown. The board noted missing details in the DCBA’s spending plan (including costly radio ads) and may allow another grant next year if clearer plans are submitted.  Oil City News

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Casper’s rabbit hunting legacy lives on as the 47th Annual 5-Shot Rabbit Hunt took place last weekend in Riverton — local women challenged teams amid warmer weather and rabbit disease that shifted focus from cottontails to elusive jackrabbits.
