- ➤ Local donors are invited to drop off gently used clothing, furniture, and household goods at Rescued Treasures thrift stores in Casper Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Donations help fund shelter, meals and job training at Wyoming Rescue Mission — giving second chances to residents. - ➤ U.S. Census estimates show that Wyoming’s population reached about 588,753 in July, with older residents increasing while fewer young people stay, raising concerns that a shrinking workforce may lead to labor shortages and impact local services in coming years. K2 Radio
- ➤ Wyoming’s population ticked up slightly in July 2025 as retirees drove most of the 0.3% growth while younger residents left due to fewer job opportunities. Analysts warned that this aging trend could soon strain local services and the labor market. Jack FM

- ➤ As of late January, Wyoming's statewide mountain snowpack is about 93% of median, with northern basins reaching up to 119% and the Upper Green River basin at 116% of median. Experts say the early season conditions may help the snowfall catch up by mid to late spring. 104.7 KISS FM

- ➤ The City of Casper announced there will be no extra trash collection in February — regular weekly pickup continues, and extra service resumes in March as residents are urged to secure all waste inside city-issued bins. Oil City News
- ➤ Gov. Mark Gordon proclaimed Feb. 1 as Unclaimed Property Day to encourage residents to claim nearly $350 million in forgotten bank accounts, unpaid life insurance benefits and utility deposits from the Wyoming State Treasurer’s Office.
