  • On Monday, Feb. 2, tweens wrote mini book reviews at the Natrona County Library and residents attended a financial seminar in the Crawford Room, while Stage III Community Theater is staging ‘A Trip to Bountiful’ (tickets $12–$15) through Feb. 8.  Oil City News

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire near Boles Road on Monday evening at around 5:45 p.m. – no injuries were reported as an investigator from the Natrona County Fire Investigation Task Force is looking into the incident.  Oil City News

  • New Mexico poets Veronica Golos and David Pérez will lead the WyoPoets 2026 Spring Workshop in Casper on April 24-25. The event starts with a free reading at Natrona County Library on April 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. and continues with a workshop at Holiday Inn Casper-East on April 25.  Oil City News

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices in Wyoming edged up by 2.7 cents to $2.51 a gallon this week according to GasBuddy data, though they remain lower than last year + Casper residents can enjoy winter recreation on snow-covered Platte River Trails as local photos capture the season's charm.  104.7 KISS FM
  • National and Natrona County gas prices dropped nearly 1 cent last week, with Natrona County’s average at $2.36 per gallon making it fourth cheapest; local stations like Sam’s Club (4600 E. 2nd St.) offer fuel at $2.25.   • The Wyoming Department of Transportation said Tribal license plates will be discontinued once roughly 200 remaining sets are sold; drivers should order them soon (existing plates remain valid through 2033).  K2 Radio

HEALTH NEWS

  • Masterson Place, a 14-room facility offering low-cost lodging at $50 per night, has been gifted to Banner Health by the Natrona Collective Health Trust. Situated behind the Banner Wyoming Medical Center, the facility will continue serving patients and families with its current staff (three employees) under new management.  Jack FM
