  • Ken Woolsey, 61, married Lonna Heath Porter on Feb. 14 at the Glenrock Senior Center, just 10 days after quadruple bypass surgery at Banner Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. He said the wedding marked his determination to start fresh despite advice to postpone the plans.  K2 Radio
  • Three-year-old Dorothy, a local cancer survivor, now thrives after treatment, and her story helped inspire the Jason’s Friends Foundation, which is hosting its 28th annual Bowl for Jason’s Friends in Casper at (El Mark-O Lanes) on Saturday, Feb. 28. ECONOMY NEWS

  • Natrona County’s regular gasoline price ticked up by 4 cents to $2.50 per gallon this week as the national average rose, but it remains the lowest in Wyoming with Loaf-N Jug selling fuel at $2.39 per gallon.  Oil City News
  • Gas prices across Wyoming are up with regular gasoline now averaging $2.66 per gallon while rates range from $2.29 to $3.29 due to seasonal refinery maintenance. Today, drivers pay 8.3-cent more than last week yet still less than a year ago.  104.7 KISS FM

  • Sen. Chris Rothfuss proposed a $126 million boost to the school funding bill on Monday to address educators’ concerns over grant stability + the amendments now move to the Appropriations Committee for further review.  Cowboy State Daily
  • Casper College will host Homecoming on Saturday, Feb. 21 at the Swede (Erickson Thunderbird Gymnasium). Free chili is served at 1:30 p.m., the women’s game begins at 2 p.m., and the men’s game starts at 4 p.m., uniting alumni, students, and community members.  K2 Radio

  • On Monday, Gov. Mark Gordon said the state filed a petition to reverse a panel decision that halted Jonah Energy’s $17.85-billion 3,500-well project over 141,000 acres to protect local jobs and tax revenue; Interior Sec. Doug Burgum suspended the ruling pending review.  Cowboy State Daily
  • Newcastle rancher Ty Checketts testified at a Capitol Hill Senate hearing this week in support of the Grasslands Grazing Act, which would grant National Grasslands permit holders 10-year grazing agreements + due process rights.   • Wyoming skier Jaelin Kauf earned her second silver medal in the women's dual moguls final at the 2026 Winter Games, marking her third Olympic podium finish. Jackson Hole native Breezy Johnson won gold in the downhill with a time of 1:36.10 while narrowly beating Germany’s Emma Aicher.  K2 Radio
