- ➤ Casper’s Nicolaysen Art Museum hosted a free Chinese New Year celebration Tuesday, Feb. 17, with spring rolls, red envelopes and activities honoring the Year of the Horse, including a short talk on China’s Tiangong Space Station. - ➤ At Tuesday's meeting, Casper City Council approved a $35,021 contract with Tetra Tech Inc. to assess vegetation and ecology for North Platte River restoration, collecting field data for native replanting + bank stabilization and fish habitat improvement in the North Casper and Knife River Reach. - ➤ Jessica’s Pond (a popular local fishing spot) will permanently close after officials confirmed invasive New Zealand mudsnails in Oct. 2025, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department announced. - ➤ The Wyoming boys’ basketball season nears its stretch run as teams chase playoff seeds in regional tournaments — Class 1A and 2A schools play one more week and 3A/4A teams play two, and one team earned its first win last week in a season spanning nine weeks. K2 Radio
