  • Casper hosted a memorable performance on Feb. 19 as Ian Munsick returned for his Eagle Flies Free tour, captivating the audience with nostalgic Western vibes and sharing the stage with Jake Worthington plus Tyler Nance.  The Cowboy

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Railroad ties reclaimed from salvage yards work well for landscaping projects in Casper. They serve as durable barriers for raised garden beds, retaining walls and erosion control, but gardeners should handle creosote-treated wood carefully & follow proper safety steps.  The Cowboy

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Following Wednesday’s and Thursday’s snowfall, Casper crews worked to clear roads but frigid temperatures have reduced the chemicals’ effect, leaving many main streets icy — officials advise motorists to slow down and leave extra space. Crews will reapply de-icing products Friday when temperatures are expected to be 12 degrees higher.  Oil City News

  • Wyoming native Anna Gibson (Jackson) will compete in the inaugural Olympic ski mountaineering mixed relay on Saturday, Feb. 21 at the Winter Olympics. She took up the sport only months ago and now makes her debut in this intense, fast-paced event.  K2 Radio
  • Casper will host its Spring Spike Fest Volleyball Tournament on April 18-19 for girls' youth teams (10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U), with teams registering for $225 and a skills workshop offered on Saturdays through May 16.  The Cowboy
