  • On Saturday, Feb. 21, the 33rd Annual API Chili Cook-Off lit up The Ford Wyoming Center as 44 teams served red and green chili plus over 3,500 attendees enjoyed 12-dollar tickets that benefited local nonprofits.  Oil City News
  • On Jan. 31, at Fort Caspar Museum near Casper, over 50 community members heard descendants of B.B. Brooks explain how they continue his 144-year ranching legacy, including work on the Banner Ranch (the family’s only remaining ranch) that blends traditional techniques with modern tools.  Cowboy State Daily

  • At Hogadon Ski Resort this month, Kelli and Chauncy Johnson honored their late 5-year-old daughter Elise by wearing angel wings while promoting a safety campaign aimed at reducing future skiing accidents.  Cowboy State Daily

  • The Wyoming Game and Fish Department announced the winners of Wyoming Wildlife magazine’s 55th annual photo contest, which saw over 2,500 entries from nearly 500 photographers. The grand prize went to Amy Gerber of Cody for 'Entangled' featuring prairie rattlesnakes.  Oil City News

  • Wyoming officials explained that milk carries a longer best by date here because state policies follow industry standards, while Montana's 12 day rule requires stores to remove product sooner (both states sell the same milk).  Cowboy State Daily
  • Lawmakers are debating a bill proposed by Sen. Gary Crum & co-sponsors like Natrona High School coach Rep. Steve Harshman to ban NIL deals in high school sports. The measure will enforce amateurism by preventing payments that could lure athletes away from local schools.  Cowboy State Daily

  • Logan Wilson, a Wyoming alum and Casper native (who played seven games for the Cowboys), was released to free up $6.5 million in cap space ahead of free agency. He will host youth football camps in Laramie on Saturday, June 6 and in Casper on Saturday, June 20.  The Cowboy
