  • Casper-based Hilltop Bank completed its acquisition of Cheyenne State Bank, expanding its footprint in Wyoming. The Cheyenne branch at 101 W. 19th Street opened on March 2 and will transition over the weekend of March 13 + CEO Greg Dixson welcomed new customers.  Wyoming News Now
  • Wells Fargo chose The Wyoming Reserve in Casper to store its precious metals, a move that shows local trust in the state’s financial infrastructure. The decision reinforces Wyoming’s reputation as a secure hub for institutional-grade custody and may lead to more partnerships with high-value banks.  Cowboy State Daily

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Data from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis shows Wyoming's per capita income is high mainly because Teton County's investment earnings boost the state average, but median household income has lagged over the past decade; local analysts say uneven income sources are reshaping Wyoming's economy.  The Cowboy
  • Bluepeak is launching fiber internet in Mills that will offer speeds up to 5 Gig for homes and 10 Gig for businesses and is supporting the upgrade of Mills Memorial Park (Service & Sacrifice Park) for a July 4 reopening.   • Today at 6:00 p.m., the Tate Geological Museum — located at Casper College — hosts the lecture 'Late Cretaceous Dinosaurs and their World' with Russel Hawley, who will show how fossils reveal details of dinosaur behavior, appearance, and diet. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Casper will soon start the third phase of Washington Park improvements after City Council approved a contract with Arete Design Group (a Sheridan-based firm) for bandshell restoration. The $230,535 project will add ADA accessibility, new restrooms and improved drainage with funding from a tax and a federal grant.  Oil City News
  • Gov. Mark Gordon signed a bill Tuesday that keeps name, image, and likeness payouts out of high school sports. The law, introduced by former U of Wyoming player Sen. Gary Crum, is meant to protect amateur athletics by preventing financial influence.  Cowboy State Daily
