  • Casper’s Bowl for Jason’s Friends fundraiser will take place Saturday at El Mark-O Lanes, bringing together teams from across the region to help raise funds for Wyoming families with sick children. Early estimates show more than $400K raised over 28 years.  Oil City News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Wyoming’s 2025-26 winter ended as the warmest on record, surpassing Dust Bowl benchmarks. Climate stations, including Casper, noted average highs above 50°F on many days (based on 135 years of data) and officials say the season deviated greatly from the norm.  Oil City News

  • Yesterday, lawmakers advanced a proposal to create a state-managed Energy Dominance Fund that could use up to $105 million from severance taxes to support energy development. Lawmakers debated the proposal's merits & drawbacks during the House floor debate.  Oil City News
  • Natrona County commissioners approved Midstream Energy Partners’ move to install 180,000 gallons of fuel storage at a Casper terminal on Tuesday, March 3, and to subdivide a lot east of town into two 5-acre parcels. Officials said the project meets safety and zoning guidelines (including access to three fire hydrants).  Oil City News
