- ➤ CY Middle School students have been named a national finalist in a Samsung competition—after building a robot designed to lift student spirits. The school now awaits further evaluation to potentially win the $100,000 award. Casper Star-Tribune
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Childcare Interagency Working Group launched grants offering up to $10,000 in January and received nearly 50 applications, so it has extended the timeline and will open the next round on April 1—this move comes as Wyoming faces a shortage of child care providers. Oil City News
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Casper College Lady Thunderbirds Andi Schissler, Luna Ueda and Adama Badjie Coly were named to the 2025 All-Region IX team after a strong season—Schissler was named for a second time while Coly also joined the All-Defensive Team and they averaged 18.9, 11.8 and 11.7 points per game during the 2024-25 season.
