- ➤ The Casper Family Aquatic Center will hold its Annual Water Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12, where families can join an egg hunt that lasts about 45 minutes with sessions at 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., enjoy Easter themed crafts and games, and pay 10 dollars for children aged 5 to 12 and 3 dollars for children four and under—children 7 and under must be in the water with an adult. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 16-year-old Casper boy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for shooting his ex-girlfriend at point-blank range in Buckboard Park and was sentenced to 42 to 75 years in prison on Tuesday while his attorney filed a notice of appeal against the sentence. Cowboy State Daily
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Casper College will host a free presentation today at the Goodstein Library—Room 215 A—where Michael McDaniel explains how Heart Mountain displaced indigenous people and later served as a detention center for Japanese Americans during WWII; sessions start at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Oil City News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Casper/Natrona County International Airport announced that it will build a new Air Traffic Control Tower because its current facility from 1954 has major line-of-site issues and outdated systems. The airport is 60% through design and will secure funding soon to keep air traffic and radar approach control services running. Oil City News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Casper residents looking for a summer job or career move are encouraged to get CPR certified since many positions such as teaching, childcare, and park ranger require life-saving training (updated courses are available), so residents can be ready for emergencies. Jack FM

- ➤ The Toughest Monster Truck Tour happened at the Ford Wyoming Center on April 5 with drivers from across the country competing for local fans. Three of the six trucks had problems—Cyber Attack lost a tire early but returned for the freestyle round—showing the risks the drivers took to deliver a big show. K2 Radio
