  • The inaugural Wiley King Memorial Shotgun Shoot — set for April 24 at the Casper Skeet Club — will raise funds for scholarships for Casper College students. Registration is open for 4-person teams at $800 per team, with lunch, raffle prizes, and giveaways provided.  The Cowboy

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Natrona County fuel prices held steady at $3.65 per gallon on Monday amid an 8% global oil price rally after failed talks, and Casper drivers can still find deals with rates as low as $3.53 at nearby stations (GasBuddy report).  Oil City News
  • Visit Casper unveiled a 10-year tourism master plan (designed to boost local outdoor recreation and economic growth) based on input from over 1,100 residents and a 27-person committee.   • Wyoming water officials say the Colorado River crisis worsens as low snowpack and a warm winter threaten Lake Powell's power at Glen Canyon Dam; extra water will be released from Flaming Gorge Reservoir on or before May 1 to meet legal obligations to downstream states.  Oil City News

  • Upgraded Points analysis shows Wyoming residents averaged a $4,282 tax refund, the 3rd highest state average, with 67.8% of returns receiving refunds & nearly 90% using direct deposit.
