- ➤ On Tuesday, April 15, volunteers and staff at Children's Advocacy Project in Casper lined up 262 blue and silver pinwheels to honor each child treated for abuse in 2024—190 of these cases involved sexual abuse, said Executive Director Stacy Nelson. Oil City News

- ➤ Natrona County District Court Judge Josh Eames sentenced Cameryn Sky Sommers to a suspended sentence of six to eight years on April 11 for delivery of fentanyl and conspiracy — he warned that a probation violation could extend his time behind bars until his children became adults. Oil City News

- ➤ A new study found that households nationwide needed to earn $116,986 to afford a median-priced home in January, a 50% increase from 2020 that meant buyers in Wyoming required 79% more income than before. The report based its calculations on a 20 percent down payment and current mortgage, property tax and homeowners insurance rates and noted similar high increases in Utah, Montana, Maine and Tennessee.
