- ➤ Casper police say security footage shows that Dustin Big Medicine assaulted a 50-year-old man outside the Nicolaysen Art Museum on April 21 — the suspect allegedly kicked, punched and slammed the victim’s head into boulders, leaving him with an eye socket fracture and a risk of losing his eye before being arrested near the scene on Tuesday. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Casper area residents and officials met on Thursday evening to discuss the city's Fiscal Year 2026 budget and its use of priority-based budgeting. The meeting, hosted by the Casper Citizens’ Department of Government Efficiency, included debates over proposals to cut nonprofit funding and sell city-owned properties—debates that highlighted differing views on how to best serve the community. - ➤ Kelly Walsh High School senior Chloe Dallman-Janski signed on April 23 to play softball for Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkowa during a ceremony at KWHS—she chose the school after a coach connection and will study secondary education with an English focus. Oil City News
- ➤ Casper College announced that volleyball players Aubreann Browning and Kyrsten Bake signed letters to play at NAIA schools. Browning will join Doane University Lady Tigers while Bake will attend Crowley’s Ridge College—both look forward to new challenges—and they work to build on their success. 104.7 KISS FM
