- ➤ For 55 years, the Casper Air Modelers Association has flown radio-controlled airplanes at North Platte Park with members from many walks of life, and they take pride in a facility built by club members. The nonprofit group holds public events and will host a fly-in event July 24th—27th to let new pilots learn and compete. Cowboy State Daily

- ➤ Photographer Steve Dallman visited Hell’s Half Acre near Casper to photograph the film site from Starship Troopers, enduring a steep, muddy climb and harsh weather. The 320-acre area (part of Natrona County's 960-acre tract) remained nearly pristine, with no signs prohibiting entry (Dallman noted the lack of 'Do Not Enter' posts) even decades after filming.
