  • Today, the Casper Shrine Circus brings the Jordan World Circus to the Central Wyoming Fair and PRCA Rodeo Fairgrounds at 6:30 p.m. — featuring acts like elephants, camels, and high-wire stunts that support the Casper Shrine Club’s efforts for Shriner’s Hospital for Children.   • The 21st Annual Vista Toyota Golf Country Classic will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming on Friday, June 20 at the Casper Country Club with check-in starting at 11 a.m. and a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Participants will play 18 holes of carted golf, enjoy unlimited range access, beverages, tournament gifts, and a post-play dinner and raffle—registration is $1,000 for a four-person team.  Oil City News

CRIME NEWS

  • Early Monday, Casper officers responded to a reported burglary at a home on S. McKinley St.—and fatally shot 37-year-old Jody Renee Cobia whose estranged husband said no burglar was present—with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation now investigating the incident.  Cowboy State Daily
  • Casper police responded at 12:36 a.m. on April 28 to an armed burglary call at the 1600 block of South McKinley when an exchange of gunfire resulted in a woman's death—officials did not say whether officers fired and have placed the involved officers on Administrative Leave as investigators from the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation work at the scene.  Oil City News
  • Early today at about 12:36 a.m., Casper police responded to a reported burglary on the 1600 block of South McKinley Street and encountered an armed subject who fired shots—he was taken to Wyoming Medical Center and pronounced dead while an officer was placed on administrative leave and the Wyoming DCI began an investigation.  K2 Radio
