  • Funky Junk Spring Edition will transform David Street Station on Saturday, May 16 with 100+ vendors, 16 food trucks, and live music beginning at 10 a.m. Local bands will perform until 5 p.m.  K2 Radio

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Natrona County fuel prices increased by 16 cents to $4.32 per gallon this past week, with Wyoming averages at $4.38 for gasoline and $5.46 for diesel. Early Monday morning, some stations reported lower rates at Loaf 'N Jug and Conoco along Salt Creek Highway.  Oil City News

  • Casper’s Natrona County School District Board of Trustees approved over $490,000 in contracts for dairy supplies and a turf court playground at Paradise Valley Elementary, and accepted a $100,000 donation from the Natrona Collective Health Trust to enhance student mental health programs.  Oil City News
  • Facing a drop from $46.3 million to $42.4 million in extracurricular funding next school year, Wyoming legislators urged districts to use reserve funds rather than cutting programs amid a strained funding model; lawmakers will review the matter on June 25 (offering a stop-gap fix).  Cowboy State Daily
  • At Monday's meeting, Natrona County School District 1's academic steering committee considered contracting up to $200,000 for mental health services from the Central Wyoming Counseling Center; the proposed contract would run from July 1 to June 30 and be voted on at a future Board meeting.  Oil City News

  • A 2025 outbreak of canine distemper cut wolf numbers in Wyoming and Yellowstone to a record low of 253 wolves and 14 breeding pairs. Biologists expect the population to bounce back as wild wolves build resistance + fall hunting season plans for next year are set with new data.  Oil City News
