  • The volunteer LPFZ Foundation hosts its 17th Annual Poker Run & Raffle on Saturday, May 23 at 8:00 a.m. MDT near Esterbrook and Wheatland to raise funds with a live auction, beef burgers, and a Polaris Ranger UTV raffle; pre-registration with a discount and gear starts March 23.  K2 Radio
  • Casper has launched a survey asking almost 100,000 residents (from Casper and parts of Natrona, Converse counties, and Rawlins) to share views on recycling and trash services to guide future improvements. The survey takes just a few minutes and is open for input today.  Jack FM

CULTURE NEWS

  • Casper Comic Con (Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28) will take place at the Ford Wyoming Center in June, featuring celebrity guest Charlie Schlatter, indie horror veteran Kevin M Glover, kids and adults cosplay contests, and vendors with comics, toys, and collectibles.  K2 Radio
  • On Friday, May 8, 2026, Hell's Half Acre reopened with a scenic boardwalk, viewing platform, new picnic tables, improved parking, and informational signs at this historic natural formation 40 miles west of Casper (a project led by Visit Casper and Natrona County).  K2 Radio
  • Historic Bishop Home launches its Sixth Throwback Event on Saturday, June 13, 2026 as part of the Nation’s 250th Anniversary celebration, featuring interpreter Tom Pitz portraying Thomas Jefferson. The program begins with a 5:00 p.m. reception at 818 E. 2nd St. and dinner at Casper Country Club.  Oil City News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City Council approved new hours for the annual open container season, allowing licensed businesses to serve open beverages from 11 a.m. + 11 p.m. to accommodate summer events downtown; the resolution will be formally adopted at a future meeting.  Oil City News
  • Casper Area Transit will pause bus service for Memorial Day on May 25, affecting LINK fixed-route and ASSIST door-to-door rides. Regular service resumes at 6:30 a.m. May 26, and customers must schedule ASSIST rides by 3 p.m. May 22 & the 4th Street transit office will remain closed on the holiday.  Oil City News

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Natrona Collective Health Trust invites community members to a free listening session on Tuesday, May 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at its office at 421 S. Center St. in Casper as part of its five-year strategy refresh, with space limited to 75 people who must pre-register.  Oil City News
