- ➤ Applications are open for vendors and food trucks for the annual Casper Collins Heritage Festival at Fort Caspar Museum, scheduled for Saturday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.—vendors must submit applications by July 17 and nonprofit groups can set up for free. Oil City News
- ➤ Casper will host the Wyoming Wild Sheep Foundation Convention on June 6 and 7, beginning with a Friday night Rendezvous at the Best Western Downtown Hotel—featuring a Fajita Bar, games, raffles and a guest speaker. - ➤ A 39-year-old Casper man known as a serial biter nearly bit a deputy's finger during his Tuesday arrest and barked like a dog when he resisted officers, and he appeared by videoconference in court on Wednesday facing charges for assault, battery, drug offenses & interference with a police officer while the injured deputy got stitches. - ➤ New estimates show Evansville grew the fastest at 2.1% among Wyoming towns over 2,000 people—Casper added 75 residents and Mills grew by 1.6%, while a few towns lost population. Dr. Wenlin Liu of the Wyoming Economic Analysis Division said the growth reversed the declines seen during the COVID-19 pandemic. 104.7 KISS FM
- ➤ New estimates from the Wyoming Economic Analysis Division show that nearly half of Wyoming’s large cities grew between July 2023 and July 2024—Evansville grew 2.1% making it the fastest, while Casper added 75 residents to reach 58,823 and Laramie and Mills both grew 1.6%.
