  • Thousands of people gathered on Saturday at David Street Station for the annual Funky Junk Artisan Market, which returned downtown after years on Durbin Street+ the event featured over 100 vendors, nearly a dozen food trucks and live music from Aquile, Rumbletrunk, Zack Scott and The Patti Fiasco, ending at 5 p.m.  Oil City News
  • Josh Baughcum—a Casper resident—has been dropping off hundreds of tennis balls at Morad Park for three years so local dogs enjoy unlimited play all day.  Casper Star-Tribune

CRIME NEWS

  • CASPER, Wyo.—The weekly arrest report for Natrona County from May 9th to May 16th shows law enforcement contacting many suspects and recommending various charges while noting the log does not include juvenile, bonded, or sexual cases and all suspects remain innocent until proven guilty.  Oil City News

  • Casper College students walked across the stage on Friday to finish their programs and start their next chapter—marking a key moment in their lives.  Casper Star-Tribune
  • Natrona County School District faces concern from local manufacturing & construction and engineering industries over potential cuts to its career and technical education courses, prompting debates about the future skills of local workers.  Casper Star-Tribune
  • Casper College has renamed its Cares Student Emergency Fund as the David Dutton Student Emergency Fund in memory of former Enterprise Software Administrator David Dutton who died on Dec. 12. The fund—created during the pandemic to help students facing financial hardships—will continue its mission to support those in need.  Oil City News

  • The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming have opened registrations for summer sports leagues for local children and adults. Children in grades K—5 can sign up for T-ball/coach pitch from June 2 to July 30 at the North Casper Athletics Complex for $45 and a $10 membership fee while the basketball league for middle school, high school players and adults runs from June 9 to Aug. 8 at the club’s main gym for $35 per person or $200 per team plus a $10 fee for school athletes.  Oil City News
