- ➤ Tourism helped Natrona County's economy in 2024 by bringing in $377.8M in spending and creating 3,470 jobs, although local tax revenue fell slightly due to cost-conscious visitor spending. - ➤ Senator John Barrasso introduced a bill that would remove restrictions on funding for coal, oil, natural gas, and nuclear energy projects, and it would cut U.S. funding to the World Bank by 50% until its policies change—co-sponsors include Senators Cynthia Lummis, Ted Cruz, Pete Ricketts, Marsha Blackburn, Mike Lee, and Bill Hagerty. 104.7 KISS FM
- ➤ The Wyoming Department of Corrections (WDOC) moved 30 inmates from the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility back to a Wyoming facility today as improved staffing allowed the transfer, while 135 inmates remain in Mississippi. - ➤ The Ford Wyoming Center will get new landscaping and an ADA-accessible pathway near the VIP entrance under a $352,250 contract approved by the Casper City Council on Tuesday. The project will add a concrete plaza, new trees, and other greenery to an area where a grass hill was removed in early 2024 — work set to begin in the near future using fifth-cent funds. - ➤ On Tuesday, the Casper City Council applied for $497,695 in grant funding from the Wyoming Department of Transportation to improve the 1st Street riverfront pathway along the Platte River.
