- ➤ Casper hosted a busy weekend of local events— the 2025 Ink Masters Tattoo Expo at Ford Wyoming Center ran from May 23 until today with free tattoo giveaways and live artists, while a Memorial Day Car Show, nonfiction book sale, and speed dating mixer took place yesterday at Bull Horn Brewing and the library. Today, Cirque Italia Water Circus features shows at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at Eastridge Mall. Oil City News

- ➤ Casperites visited the Ford Wyoming Center on Saturday for the second annual Ink Masters Tattoo Expo where nearly 35 vetted tattoo vendors displayed a range of art styles. The expo continues today from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with $28 tickets available, and organizers expect the event to grow in coming years. Oil City News

- ➤ Chief Justice Kate Fox defended Wyoming’s judge selection process during her final appearance in Torrington on May 19—explaining that strict rules shield judicial nominees from political pressure—while the Joint Judiciary Committee in Casper approved drafting a resolution that would let voters decide if the Senate should have final approval of new state Supreme Court justices scheduled for consideration in August. - ➤ Residents in Bar Nunn learned that Radiant Nuclear plans to buy 130 acres north of town to build a small reactor manufacturing facility and store spent fuel after a Thursday town hall meeting attended by local officials and state legislators. Radiant said it will hold additional discussions on June 14, July 14 and Aug. 12 to review legislative changes and disaster planning plus the earliest fuel storage is set for 2033. - ➤ TerraPower officials have asked lawmakers for legal protection from lawsuits for its armed security team at the Natrium nuclear plant near Kemmerer (the draft measure, called Wyoming Security, seeks to let private guards act under federal rules). Legislators in Casper agreed to have the Legislative Service Office draft a bill and will continue discussing the proposal in July. Oil City News

- ➤ The Casper College Athletics Department was honored at the NERD YMCA of Natrona County’s 11th annual Wall of Honor Celebration when freshman soccer player Paxton Stoneking accepted the award + recalled his first soccer experience at the Y as a child. The honor recognizes the department’s work with local youth sports + its strong community partnership with the YMCA. Oil City News
- ➤ On Saturday, May 24th, top high school athletes competed at the 2025 State Track and Field Championships as local stars from Casper and Natrona County squared off in several events. Natrona County senior Saige Gustafson won the girls 100 meter dash — and local athlete Landon Walker took first in the triple jump — while more results are still coming in. Oil City News
