- ➤ The YMCA of Natrona County will host Healthy Kids Day at David Street Station—200 S David Street, Casper this Saturday, May 31 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Families can join the free event and the first 150 kids to check in will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag while supplies last. The Cowboy

- ➤ Fort Caspar Museum in Casper will host historian James A. Hessler for a presentation on the 6th Michigan Cavalry on Saturday, June 14 at 6 p.m.—tickets cost $30 for dinner and a lecture and $100 for a VIP tour that starts at 5 p.m., with all tickets available until June 11. Oil City News
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Natrona County’s gas price rose 1 cent to $2.84 last week after a month-long slide and remained the cheapest in the state for eight weeks—Wyoming’s average fell 1 cent to $3.14. The national average went up by 3.1 cents from a month ago while nearby counties like Laramie and Goshen posted slightly higher prices. Oil City News

- ➤ Casper Streets and Traffic crews began summer street striping today in downtown Casper before moving east and west. Drivers are advised to slow down and give the paint truck plenty of room—using alternate routes if needed—to avoid wet paint while crews work for a couple of weeks. 104.7 KISS FM
- ➤ Governor Gordon appointed Ryan Schelhaas as Interim Attorney General following Bridget Hill’s departure to join the Wyoming Supreme Court—Schelhaas has served in the Attorney General’s office since 2003 and was Chief Deputy since 2019. Oil City News
- ➤ Today, WYDOT closed the southbound on ramp from Poplar Street onto I-25 for demolition and new concrete work until June 20 — drivers can detour via McKinley Street or the Shoshoni Bypass. A second closure on the north lane of E Street will begin on June 4 for ramp work until June 20 as part of the bridge reconstruction project. K2 Radio
