- ➤ Natrona County School District named Zachary Ley from Pineview Elementary as the 2025 District Teacher of the Year for his strong leadership, innovative math and science teaching methods, and commitment to student growth. He has also guided school improvement teams—such as the Yearbook, Math, and mentorship clubs—that help strengthen community ties and support academic success. 104.7 KISS FM
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Wyoming Game and Fish Department moved its July Commission meeting from Evanston to Casper so more people can attend. The two-day meeting is set for July 15—16 at the Ramkota Convention Center on 800 N. Poplar St and public comments on proposed regulation changes must be submitted by June 10. Oil City News
- ➤ Casper City Council meets at 6 p.m. today at City Hall to set public hearing dates on the $189.2 million budget and an ordinance amendment to ban placing snow on sidewalks and streets. The council will also review proposals on zoning changes, massage therapy licensing, and park designation cancellation, with a fake ID ban hearing scheduled for June 17—further agenda items are on the docket. - ➤ Casper will host the 7th Annual Suicide Prevention Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 6 at Three Crowns Golf Club. Organizers will accept team registrations and sponsorships to raise $15,000 — funds that will help Casper College students earn mental health degrees and support suicide prevention efforts in Natrona County.
