COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Casper College, David Street Station and Natrona Collective Health Trust will host the first Creative Art and Music Festival Saturday, June 7, for young artists, performers and vendors age 20 and under. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at David Street Station in downtown Casper and will offer youth a chance to learn event skills. Oil City News
- ➤ The 78th annual Central Wyoming Fair and PRCA Rodeo will run in Casper from July 4 to July 12, offering family rides, fair food, exhibits, and a PRCA rodeo with Wyoming's largest carnival opening on the first day. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On June 5, a crash blocked all lanes on I80 westbound near Laramie at milepost 312 and another crash diverted I25 northbound traffic near Douglas—WDOT reported both incidents amid wet conditions with light rain and fog that caused delays. Jack FM
- ➤ Yesterday morning, crashes on I80 westbound near milepost 312 and on I25 northbound near Exit 135 led to road closures and detours—wet roads and rain showers before 10:00 a.m. gave way to a high near 61 and growing sunshine later. K2 Radio

- ➤ Bottoms Up Coffee opens today at 5:30 a.m. in downtown Casper at 215 West 1st Street in the former Perfect Cup building — owner Bella Keith said the drive-up shop will serve local customers with giveaways on the hour. K2 Radio

- ➤ On Thursday, the State Board of Land Commissioners denied the renewal of six leases for a gravel pit at the base of Casper Mountain after local residents and citizen scientists raised concerns about water and dust contamination + the decision reverses an earlier unanimous approval and ends a 14-month campaign by community groups opposing the mining operation.
