- ➤ A local nonprofit will host a free day-long workshop at Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park on Father’s Day to teach community preparedness and self-reliance skills. Local experts and volunteers will guide families in learning compass navigation, first aid, radio phonetics, shelter building, water purification, and fire starting from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — a state park entry fee applies. - ➤ The third-annual Wyoming Firearms and Outdoor Recreation Expo will be held on July 19 at David Street Station in Casper and is free from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will feature booths from local businesses, live music by Joey Patterson, food trucks, and a panel discussion with local lawmakers — all set to offer a day of outdoor recreation for families. - ➤ Casper’s young artists performed and sold their work at the first-ever Creative Art and Music Festival on Saturday, June 7 in downtown Casper. - ➤ The National Pony Express Re-Ride will stop in Casper from June 16 to June 18, giving residents the chance to meet riders and see the traditional mochila handoff—an interactive GPS tracker lets visitors follow the rider's route in real time. Jack FM

- ➤ Casper’s Lemonade Day arrives on June 21 — letting kids run lemonade stands to learn important business skills like money handling and marketing. Registration packs are available at Hilltop Bank locations for young entrepreneurs to join the fun. Jack FM

- ➤ The Natrona Collective Health Trust announced a grant to support planning of new youth-centered third spaces in Natrona County, offering up to $50,000 for research and strategic design. Eligible 501(c)(3) organizations may apply from June 18 to July 17 and can join a virtual lunch-and-learn on June 25 at 11 a.m. Oil City News

- ➤ Casper College named former standout Joslin Igo as the new assistant women’s basketball coach while assistant Nate Macy will become head coach on July 1—changing the coaching set-up. Igo, who played two seasons on the team during Region 9 Championship runs, said her experience from Casper College and the University of Wyoming will help guide the program forward. Oil City News
