COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Today, the Stuckenhoff Shooting Complex near the landfill north of Casper is hosting Family Firearm Safety Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering free 25-minute gun safety courses led by an NRA instructor. Families who complete the course will receive safety cards and children can shoot up to 100 rounds on the range — with guns provided if needed.  The Cowboy

CRIME NEWS

  • On Friday, June 13, defendants appeared in Natrona County Circuit Court facing charges from drug offenses to assault — bond amounts and plea changes were noted — with Judge Cynthia Sweet presiding and District Attorney Dan Itzen representing the state as all remain presumed innocent.  Oil City News

CULTURE NEWS

  • Today, Casper offers a busy Pride weekend featuring outdoor Yoga at 9 a.m. on the Labyrinth, a downtown Coffee & Art Walk starting at 10 a.m., a Mark Twain event at Historic Bishop Home at 5 p.m., and a Pride Fest at 10 a.m.—with additional film screenings, fundraisers, and after parties planned into the evening.  Oil City News
  • The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center in Casper will host the annual Pony Express Re-ride on Tuesday, June 17 with riders set to arrive between 7 and 7:30 p.m. More than 700 riders will take part in a 10-day journey starting in Sacramento on June 11 and ending in St. Joseph on June 21+ the center will stay open until 8 p.m. for visitors to see the reenactment and exhibits.  Oil City News

  • The Casper Mountain Young Marines are seeking an experienced adult volunteer to lead the unit and guide local kids in character-building and service activities.
