- ➤ The Casper Mountain Lions Club is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Lee McCune Braille Trail with a free outdoor event on July 19 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. + The event will include a special presentation and guided trail tours+ with a complimentary shuttle from the new Casper Mountain Trail Center. 104.7 KISS FM
- ➤ The annual Point-In-Time homeless count in January recorded an 11% rise from last year by tallying 167 sheltered and unsheltered individuals in Casper. Officials say nearly half of those counted reported a disability and many are longterm residents—figures that may point to a higher actual number of people in need. Oil City News
- ➤ The Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo Parade will take place in downtown Casper on Tuesday, July 8 at 10:00 a.m with a 5K run starting at 9:00 a.m and vehicles required to clear the route by 6:00 a.m—vehicles remaining may be towed. - ➤ The rock band In This Moment will bring their Black Mass Tour to the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper on October 11 at 7:00 p.m.—they will perform with special guests Dayseeker, The Funeral Portrait and Ded—and tickets go on sale Friday, June 27 at 10:00 a.m. with a presale starting Tuesday, June 24 at noon. - ➤ Natrona County Meals on Wheels and Central Wyoming Senior Services are bracing for a nearly 15% cut in federal funds from the Older Americans Act—this may force them to create a waiting list for up to 520 seniors who rely on over $3 million for meal delivery and support services starting later this fiscal year.
