COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ On July 8th, Casper experienced a sweltering 93° day with gusty winds and isolated thunderstorms while travel remained mostly safe except for a closure on I-80 near Arlington—the Wagonhound Rest Area at milepost 267 was closed until further notice. K2 Radio
- ➤ Downtown Casper was lively yesterday as thousands cheered local floats during Casper Day—which started a week of rodeo events with the first night of the PRCA Rodeo and finals on July 12. The events also had livestock shows, family fun and special deals for seniors and kids. Jack FM
- ➤ On Tuesday, July 8th, hundreds gathered downtown for the Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo Parade that kicked off the annual fair and PRCA rodeo. The fair continued at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds with a carnival opening at 3 p.m. and the rodeo starting at 7:30 p.m. Oil City News
- ➤ On Tuesday morning, over 200 people began the Casper Chase Fallen Soldiers Memorial 5k through downtown Casper and the race has raised over $300,000 in scholarships since 2010 (honoring Wyoming soldiers who died in the Wars on Terror). Oil City News

- ➤ Art in the Park will return to Mike Cedar Park on Saturday, September 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., featuring live art, music, and local vendors (a free, family-friendly event) that will offer creative fun for Casper residents. Jack FM
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming partnered with the Jae Foundation in February for the Be the Light Reverse Raffle that auctioned a package featuring 10 pairs of Jae Boots, special training, and group experiences to raise awareness of suicide prevention and encourage discussion on mental health. Winning bidder Amy Allaire said the event brought much-needed focus to checking in on loved ones in our community. 104.7 KISS FM
