- ➤ Today, a free expo celebrating Wyoming's firearms & outdoor recreation industry will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown Casper at David Street Station. Hosted by the Wyoming Office of Outdoor Recreation & David Street Station, the event will feature exhibitors, food and drink trucks, live music by Joey Patterson and a legislative panel from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Oil City News
- ➤ On Friday, Casper Humane Society found over 40 guinea pigs left outside the shelter—covered in filth with no water or proper shelter. A kind veterinarian checked on the animals and the society now asks the community to donate supplies and money to help care for them. Oil City News

- ➤ Douglas Smith was found guilty on two counts of first degree murder after nearly ten years of investigation linking him to the July 2015 shootings that killed 76-year-old George Manley and 67-year-old Dwight Brockman at a Cheyenne coin shop—new technology uncovered his changing story. - ➤ Casper Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities director Zulima Lopez became the interim city manager after Carter Napier left to become city administrator in Spring Hill, TN — Mayor Ray Pacheco said the city will soon decide whether to use local or national recruiters to fill the permanent role. - ➤ Wyoming tech company Lunavi helped digitize a word game test that screens for early signs of Alzheimer’s using voice recognition — the tool takes about 15 minutes and is expected to be used in local clinics to catch the disease early. Cowboy State Daily

- ➤ Dozens of runners will test their endurance at Casper Mountain today at the annual Skunk Hollow Sneaker Chase with a new backyard ultra event and an 8-mile race. Race director Justin Kinner said about 85 competitors registered and the backyard ultra will begin at 8 a.m. at Casper Mountain Trails Center—bringing a fresh challenge to the well-known race.
