- ➤ Casper Police said an initial x-ray of a pressure cooker left on a Paradise Valley sidewalk Monday morning showed parts resembling those used in homemade bomb devices—further checks found no explosives but detected materials linked to illegal drug use, and a witness reported that a man placed the object hours earlier. - ➤ Michael Baker, a Kelly Walsh High School graduate, showcased his electrical skills at a national competition in Atlanta last month by placing 43rd in the electrical construction wiring contest—he built his skills at Casper College’s new Pathways Innovation Center and will begin full-time work with a local electrical contractor when he turns 18 this summer.
