The Casper Family Aquatic Center will close for annual maintenance from Monday, Aug.

3 through Sunday, Aug. 9 as the pools are drained for cleaning, repairs plus mechanical work; it will reopen for normal hours on Monday, Aug. 10.

Wildlife officials advise drivers on Casper Mountain to check their vehicles for marmots after reports that the animals are entering engine bays and chewing wires.

They recommend using a stick to prod the critters out while keeping a safe distance to avoid bites.

Casper Spuds tied the series 1-1 with a walk off hit (late in the bottom of the 9th) as they beat the Oahe Zap 7-6 at Mike Lansing Field.

Game three is scheduled for tonight with gates opening at 5:30 and first pitch at 6:30.
