  • The Casper Unity and Solidarity Group is hosting a Back to School Bash for students tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. near the bandshell at Washington Park—featuring live music, clothing and book swaps, teacher raffles and a supply drive to ease back-to-school costs.  Oil City News
  • Casper native Cynthia Olson was named the 2025 Reveille Rotarian of the Year after her husband’s sudden passing earlier this year, and she has led the Rotary Club through key projects for seniors and local parks. Despite her loss, the retired CPA and longtime club member remains dedicated to community service—upholding her motto 'Service before self.'  Oil City News
  • In Casper, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming hosted a barbecue lunch and flag football games to honor Casey Bramlet, a former UW star—Casper Mayor Ray Pacheco declared Casey Bramlet Day—and many locals joined a tribute led by Keith Kelley. ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A 21-year-old Wyomingite from Casper died after a single-vehicle rollover on I-25 near mile marker 144 by Douglas on July 27 at 11:10 a.m.—three others were injured when the Chevrolet Suburban rolled twice after the driver left the road with driver fatigue noted as a possible factor.  104.7 KISS FM

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • After a multi-day suppression effort, the Muddy Fire that burned 67 acres of Wyoming State Trust Lands southeast of Casper is nearly fully contained. The majority of firefighting resources will be released today and crews will continue to monitor the area—relying on heavy rain that slowed the blaze.  Oil City News

  • The City of Casper said Ash Street from 1st Street to Yellowstone Highway will be closed from August 4 to August 8 for construction as the work season continues — residents should check the City of Casper Facebook page for updates.  Jack FM

  • Casper hosted a successful Casey Bramlet Day at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming to honor the former UW Cowboy and professional quarterback with a barbecue and flag football games—he will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Friday, September 5th. Local leaders and former teammates praised Bramlet's record-setting career and community spirit during the event.  104.7 KISS FM
