CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Casper law enforcement released the Natrona County arrest logs for July 25th to 31st showing arrests and charges—while noting the log does not include juvenile cases or sexual offense charges and that all suspects remain presumed innocent until court hearings. Oil City News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lawmakers tabled a draft nuclear waste storage bill during a Casper committee meeting on July 30 that would let Radiant Nuclear store spent fuel at its proposed manufacturing site near Bar Nunn—community members spoke out both in support and against the plan. More than 100 people attended the extended meeting, and next steps remain unclear. Casper Star-Tribune
- ➤ Casper city council recommended a rate increase for Hogadon Basin Ski Area to raise season pass prices and fund a new chairlift — the change removes a $100 discount and adds a 10% facility fee. - ➤ An anonymous website using gun imagery—Project Winchester—has targeted Rep. Harriet Hageman for defending a federal lands sale bill that was eventually killed, accusing her of siding with insiders to sell millions of acres of public land.
