- ➤ Riverfest returns August 9th in Casper where local breweries, food trucks, live music, and the Great Duck Derby with cash prizes will draw the community. Proceeds from the Derby will fund improvements at Crossroads Adventure Park—be sure to bring ID if you plan to enjoy the brews. 104.7 KISS FM

- ➤ A 45-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash near Casper on August 4th at 2:18 p.m.—the Harley-Davidson struck a Toyota as it overtook vehicles while he was not wearing a helmet and speed with inattention were noted as possible factors. The Cowboy

- ➤ Natrona County Sheriff's Office is searching for 41-year-old Derick Archibeque— a registered sex offender—who failed to return to Casper Reentry Center on August 5 after signing out at 5 p.m. K2 Radio
- ➤ Former foster dad Steven Marler, 50, was sentenced Thursday by Natrona County District Court to 128 consecutive years in prison for sexually and physically abusing two adopted daughters and four other children under his care—mothers and victims testified during the hearing. Cowboy State Daily
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, Casper Fire-EMS increased its minimum daily staffing by two personnel so that Station 3’s ladder truck will operate with a full crew for the first time since 1975. The change will improve emergency response as the city’s growing population drives higher call volumes — firefighters ceremonially pushed the truck into place to mark the update. Wyoming News Now
