- ➤ Casper’s downtown 5150’ Festival is drawing families with local vendors, bounce houses, a mechanical bull and live music today, and organizers say Wallflowers will perform at 9:00 p.m. as the celebration continues. The Cowboy
- ➤ Casper-area voters cast over 198,000 votes to select winners in 160 local categories including businesses and schools. Winners celebrated their Oil City Best awards at the annual 5150 Festival Saturday — the full list will be posted online on Monday. Oil City News
- ➤ The 5150’ Festival started today in downtown Casper with live music, local vendors, bounce houses, and a mechanical bull—bringing families together for a fun community day. Local performers, including Wallflowers set to play at 9:00 p.m., add extra excitement to the event. K2 Radio
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Natrona County law enforcement released weekly arrest logs covering August 6th to August 15th that showed many arrests in Casper for charges including DUI—drug-related offenses, theft and more; the logs exclude juvenile offenders and cases where suspects bonded out and note that all are presumed innocent until convicted. - ➤ On Thursday, Casper College students moved back into the resident hall—sparking excitement among staff and students as they settled in for the new term. Casper Star-Tribune
- ➤ On Saturday, Sept. 6, Casper College will host its seventh annual T-Bird Dog Trek starting at 9 a.m.—a 1.5-mile walk on campus featuring water stations and kiddie pools for dogs. Dog owners can register on the day for a $10 fee per dog, and proceeds will benefit the Casper College Veterans Club supporting veteran programs. Oil City News
