City officials closed a section of the Casper river trail from west of Poplar Street to 1st Street on Monday to begin building a new pedestrian bridge.

The project will reroute pedestrians from the unsafe vehicle bridge and work will continue until early December.

In Casper, the city announced that Holiday Square sponsorships for Healing Park on Conwell are nearly sold out with 10 spots left as the park will be lit with festive displays from late November through early January; Parks Supervisor Katy Hallock said sponsors are recognized online + via on-site signage.

Casper City Council approved revised zoning for the Robertson Road subdivision, paving the way for over 60 new homes on 66 lots.

The plan, set to support single-family, duplex, townhome, and multi-family structures, establishes an R-3 zone (designed to ease density transitions between existing areas) for future development.
