COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Twenty-one local teens led a two-day youth event after the Natrona Collective Health Trust granted $150,000 for current hangout spots and $50,000 for planning a new space to counter rising teen violence in Natrona County— they reviewed 11 proposals and awarded funds to Casper Recreation Foundation and four local centers. This initiative aimed to give youth a safe place to gather and help shape future community spaces.  104.7 KISS FM
  • The annual Festival of Trees and Teddy Bear Tea events return for their 37th year to support Special Olympics Wyoming in Casper. The free Teddy Bear Tea runs on November 19th from 4:00 pm—7:00 pm at the Best Western Downtown Casper and the Festival of Trees Gala and Auction kicks off on November 20th at 6:00 pm after doors open at 5:30 pm.  Oil City News
  • The Great Mountain Mingle will take place on September 7th and 14th from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Hogadon Lodge as families enjoy free live music, grilled food, outdoor games and a beer tasting—local vendors are invited to join.  K2 Radio

  • GasBuddy said Wyoming gas prices rose slightly to $3.03 a gallon today — the cheapest station charged $2.56 while the priciest was $3.99. Prices remain below last year’s average by 27.8 cents and national rates ticked up after Midwest refinery issues.  104.7 KISS FM
  • Today, Wyoming gas prices rose to $3.03 per gallon—a 1.8 cent jump from last week that puts them nearly 28 cents lower than last year; GasBuddy found the cheapest station charged $2.56 per gallon and the priciest charged $3.99.  K2 Radio
