- ➤ Casper Theater Company is set to hold tours of the historic Highland Cemetery—starting today at 6:45 p.m. at the parking lot on Fourth and Elk Street with a walk beginning at 7 p.m.—with additional tours scheduled for Sept. 20 and Sept. 26. Oil City News
- ➤ Wyoming Symphony Orchestra announced its 76th season—United Through Music—that will begin with the 'Love' concert featuring Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet on October 26 at 2:30 p.m. at Natrona County High School and will include future themed concerts celebrating Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. 104.7 KISS FM

- ➤ Climbing advocates are urging the public to oppose the USDA proposal to rollback the Roadless Rule because it may allow road building and logging in Wyoming climbing areas like the Wind River Range and Tensleep Canyon. The Forest Service will prepare an environmental impact statement and the comment period closes tonight—more than 1 million comments have already been submitted. Oil City News

- ➤ Casper firefighters have fought multiple storm-related fires—ranging from lightning-struck trees and haystacks to vehicle blazes on I-25—while working quickly to protect lives and property. K2 Radio
- ➤ Natrona County commissioners met on Tuesday and set a public hearing for County Road 402—known as Bates Creek Road—on Nov. 4 at 5:30 p.m., with written objections due by noon Oct. 21. They also discussed amending the heavy vehicle traffic policy on residential roads and decided to delay the revised resolution for redrafting. Oil City News
- ➤ Natrona County commissioners decided on Tuesday not to act on a bond request from Converse County hospital to purchase the Casper building—citing a lack of board support—which means the hospital will now use conventional financing that may cost more. They also discussed county gambling revenue and approved a support letter for a local museum grant program—plus they agreed to contract with YoungWilliams Inc. for an AI project for court staff training.
