  • The Trail Busters 4-H Haunted Barn will feature the Platte River Ghost Ship, a spooky display inspired by a local pirate legend, starting this Friday for six nights. Club volunteers built the exhibit in an expanded barn with extra jump scares—event hours are Oct. 24–25 7 to 11 p.m., Oct. 26 6 to 9 p.m., Oct. 31 7 to 11 p.m. and Nov. 1–2 7 to 11 p.m.—with a $10 fee per person at 11747 Highway 220.  Oil City News

  • A report shows that Wyoming now has more cell phone options, with Verizon offering the best overall 4G coverage at 80.56% and speeds up to 800 Mbps—while T-Mobile delivers the best 5G service with 55.31% coverage and speeds up to 628 Mbps.   • Casper area author Sheila Muldoon-Faxon earned a Christlit Certificate of Excellence for her book 'Have You Ever Seen a Mantis Shrimp?' and her work is a finalist for the Christlit Book of the Year Award to be announced in December—she is now planning her next book about a young boy who loves hot dogs—marking her rising success in Christian children’s literature.  Oil City News
