  • Families in Casper can explore fall fun at Green Acres Corn Maze, which features a Knights and Dragons themed maze with apple cannons, a petting zoo and gem mining — the maze will close at 6 p.m. tomorrow.  K2 Radio

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Casper residents are encouraged to recycle bagged leaves and yard waste with the Pound for Pound program that lets them trade their green waste for an equal weight of finished compost or wood chips. The City offers extra leaf collection days for curbside pickup and free drop-off at the Balefill Compost Yard—open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.  K2 Radio

  • Wyoming residents and advocate groups urged the Public Service Commission to reject Rocky Mountain Power’s newest Integrated Resource Plan that delays renewable energy investments until 2030 in favor of carbon capture on existing coal plants—public testimony in Laramie warned the plan could waste federal clean energy tax credits and raise energy bills.  Oil City News
