- ➤ Construction on a new pedestrian bridge connecting Paradise Valley and Robertson Road is underway along the North Platte River. The second phase of Casper’s trail system project, built by S&S Builders with funding over $2 million, will also add more than 300 ft of concrete pathways. Oil City News
- ➤ Casper’s annual Stuff the Van event by CHA Cares is underway at eastside Walmart daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Local TV and radio stations provide live coverage of holiday outreach for needy families, and gift distribution will begin Monday (Dec. 22) after the event ends Saturday. K2 Radio

- ➤ Natrona County Sheriff’s Office investigated the theft of the bright green Sinclair Dinosaur from Sloane’s General Store in Alcova on Nov. 5 — valued at $8,000 and a local photo favorite — with officials seeking info on a suspicious pickup truck seen nearby. 104.7 KISS FM

- ➤ Casper Entertainment Group announced a Golden Ticket package that offers two tickets to every comedy show and concert at The Rialto, Gaslight Social and other participating venues through Dec. 31, 2026. The deal includes group seating discounts, early ticket access, and waived cover charges for non-ticket events. K2 Radio
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ GasBuddy data shows a nearly nickel drop in the national gas average to $2.85 per gallon, while Natrona County’s price fell 2 cents to $2.22, making it the cost leader in Wyoming as prices near the $2 mark + the trend may continue ahead of the holidays. Oil City News
- ➤ Wyoming gas prices have dropped for a third straight week to an average of $2.56 a gallon, though rates vary widely. Data from GasBuddy shows the lowest at $2.12 and the highest at $3.39 — a shift that may ease winter travel costs for local drivers. K2 Radio
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Casper is offering free Christmas tree recycling from Dec. 19 to Jan. 16 at six drop off sites. Natural trees must be stripped of decorations (ornaments, tinsel, lights, hooks, and wires) to qualify. Wyoming News Now
