- ➤ Casper City Council approved a $490,298.53 contract with Stantec Consulting Services on Tuesday for design work on the North Platte River restoration, which is funded by a Bureau of Reclamation grant and will start with field inventories and technical tests near Crossroads Park and the Knife River mining area. - ➤ The Rib & Chop House will close at the end of the year and transfer its liquor license to 3OH7 Hospitality (256 South Center St) after Casper City Council approved the move Tuesday. The transfer takes effect Jan. 1 and public hearings for other transfers are set for Jan. 6. Oil City News
- ➤ Motorists along Bryan-Evansville Road will see extensive improvements after Casper City Council approved a full reconstruction contract with Knife River on Tuesday. The project will add concrete curbs, gutters, storm sewer and lighting and is funded by optional sales tax dollars with completion expected by end of September 2026. Oil City News

- ➤ Wyoming 12-year-old Tucker Bass set an international record when he caught a 2 lb+4 oz largemouth bass on August 9 at Bass Lake near Shoshoni during a summer trip with his father. The IGFA approved his catch as a world record, highlighting local youth fishing talent. The Cowboy
- ➤ The Wyoming Coaches Association announced its Fall Coaches of the Year honorees for the 2025-26 season after fellow coaches cast their votes. The winners will be celebrated at a reception in Casper in July as recognition of their leadership and dedication. K2 Radio
