- ➤ Animal shelters in Wyoming are asking local families to foster pets this holiday season; the Park County shelter in Cody is matching a deaf and visually impaired dog with a caring home and providing food + supplies to help speed up adoption. Cowboy State Daily
- ➤ Food Bank of Wyoming increased its distribution 33% over the past four years to deliver about 28,052 meals daily in 2025 as hunger hit a 10-year high. The organization also named a new Executive Director to expand services statewide (USDA grant cut affected local sourcing). Oil City News
- ➤ Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming will raffle a helmet signed by Frank Crum and Bo Nix at its Reverse Raffle & Auction on Feb. 7 at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper to support youth programs. Oil City News
- ➤ Casper Parks and Rec offers local families a full slate of winter break activities, including a two-week camp at the Recreation Center from Dec. 22 to Jan. 2 featuring arts, sports and ice skating plus flexible admission and financial assistance while the aquatic center maintains holiday hours. - ➤ Visit Casper has announced the 8th annual 5150' Restaurant Week — celebrating the country's Semiquincentennial — set for Feb. 1 to Feb. 7, 2026. Thirty-four local businesses will feature special menus and a visitors day is scheduled at the David Street Station ice rink on Feb. 5. Oil City News

- ➤ Casper College is inviting locals to submit proposals for summer 2026 noncredit classes in art, cooking, and history. Proposals (with free staff help) must be in by Jan. 19, and courses will run from June 1 to Aug. 15. K2 Radio
- ➤ Casper College’s OLLI and Community Education programs invite local residents to propose noncredit courses in art, cooking, and history. Proposals are accepted through Monday, Jan. 19 for the summer 2026 term from June 1 through Aug. 15 (no formal teaching credentials are required). The Cowboy
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor Gordon issued Executive Order 2025-08 on Oct. 31 to distribute over $2.4M in emergency funds to food banks, pantries, and mobile food programs statewide to help neighbors during a federal SNAP delay. The order remained effective until Nov. 19. Wyoming News Now
