- ➤ Law enforcement officers with the Natrona County Driving Under the Influence Task Force are patrolling for impaired drivers today to keep roadways safe during the New Year’s holiday+ the Wyoming Transportation Department advises residents to use safe ride programs if they plan to drink. - ➤ Casper City Council approved a letter on Tuesday (warning of risks to local outdoor recreation and wildlife) to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission about a proposed pumped storage project near Seminoe Reservoir designed by rPLUS Hydro to use wind energy for power generation. Oil City News
- ➤ Wyoming Highway Patrol posted photos of resting trucks along highways to remind drivers to get enough sleep before hitting the road. Officers quietly check on drivers and warn of high wind risks + potential roll-overs. K2 Radio

- ➤ Wyoming prep boys’ basketball teams enter Week 3 with tournaments and non-conference games scheduled; Sheridan plays in the Cactus Jam in Phoenix and Kemmerer hosts the Fossil Classic while the first 1A conference game is set to take place on Saturday in Washakie County. K2 Radio
- ➤ NFL players from the University of Wyoming shone last week in NFL games. Bills’ Josh Allen completed 23 passes and passed for 262 yards+ while rushing for two touchdowns, and Casper native Logan Wilson did not play for the Cowboys as other alumni helped their teams prepare for season finale matchups.
